A note about Diabetes…

Did you know that on average, American Indians and Alaska Natives are 2.6 times more likely to have diabetes than non-Hispanic whites of similar age? Did you know that research studies have shown that small lifestyle changes, such as improving your diet and getting moderate exercise, can prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes among high-risk adults?

Diabetes is one of the most challenging health issues facing our community today. Please visit our Health Topic Diabetes page for more information and links to other helpful web sites.
